Description
Just after the storm cleared. The clouds were still moving when they broke just enough to let the light hit the peaks, cold foreground, warm rock. That contrast lasts a few minutes at most before the sky get fully covered.
Every location teaches something different about when to be there.
The icy crack in the foreground wasn’t planned. It was my first time there and started to observe around me, then saw that small crack. I got low to make it work as a lead into the frame and it became the strongest element in the shot.
