I am a Canadian wildlife and portrait photographer, filmmaker, Nikon Ambassador and the first Canadian Geographic Photographer-in-Residence. For more than 40 years, photography has taken me from Canada’s Arctic to some of the wildest places on Earth. My work is rooted in connection, conservation and the belief that a powerful image can deepen our understanding of the natural world. I am a Member of the Order of Canada, a Fellow and Governor of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, and a passionate mentor who loves helping others find their own creative voice.
