This bald eagle was a split second from catching a Kokanee salmon just off the mouth of Bonanza Creek at the north end of Slocan Lake (in the West Kootenay region of BC). I suspect that the Kokanee had already spawned and drifted downstream into the lake. The sun had just crested the mountains and there was a little fog on the lake.
